Lawn Tennis Museum was founded by Marianella Padron.
She started to collect tennis memorabilia with the simple idea
to decorate a wall.
The first idea that crossed her mind was to put an old tennis
racket on the wall. She drove to the closest thrift store to purchase
a couple of rackets. After displaying the rackets on the wall,
she discovered the intricacy of the tennis rackets.
This discovery developed into a unique fascination.
She found herself searching for tennis rackets every weekend.
This is how the collection started.
With a collection of more than 500 rackets, Marianella began to
collect tennis books and other memorabilia.
The collection
now includes 2000 rackets, over 300 tennis books and numerous
tennis memorabilia.
